Best things to Do in Cabo San Lucas

Cabo San Lucas, a resort city on the southern tip of Mexico’s Baja California peninsula, is known for its beaches, water-based activities, and nightlife. Playa El Médano is Cabo’s main beach, with outdoor restaurants and numerous bars. Past the marina is Land’s End peninsula, site of Playa del Amor (Lover’s Beach) and El Arco, a natural archway in the sea cliffs.

A natural archway that has become a picture-perfect symbol of Cabo San Lucas – take a boat tour to see it from the water. The rock formation is beautiful, and you can usually spot sea lions at the base of it. The beaches nearby are called Lovers’ Beach and Divorce Beach: funny names, but the surrounding waters make for excellent snorkeling too.

Mount Solmar

A gorgeous hike and sunset spot overlooking Los Cabos that takes about 30 minutes to make it to the top. Hike Mount Solmar for priceless views and photos of the Los Cabos area that’ll make your IG followers jealous. The hike is relatively easy but wears tight shoes, as it’s rocky in parts.

Mexico’s longest, fastest, the highest zip line is aptly named the Superman. You’ll have to abseil from sheer rock walls and traverse a bridge to get there before the Superman shoots you along a 4,000-foot line over a Unesco protected biosphere reserve at 60 mph.

A bar and grill on Medano Beach that offers massages on its top deck, overlooking the ocean. Escape the crazy spa prices of the resorts and come to The Sand Bar for a relaxing massage.

Cabo Wabo

One of Cabo’s most famous bars opened in 1990 by Sammy Hagar of Van Halen. Cabo Wabo is a Cabo San Lucas staple with live music almost every night.
